I switched to PM with the expectation that 5G would offer a noticeable improvement in speed and performance. However, I’ve noticed that the 5G speeds I’m currently getting are actually slower than the LTE I previously had with Fido. I often lose connection when there are more people around, even if the crowd isn’t very large.
I understand network performance can vary depending on location and traffic, but I wanted to flag this in case it’s part of a larger issue. If there are any steps I can take on my end to troubleshoot or optimize the connection, I’d be happy to try.

My first impression from your post is that you may be located in BC as many have reported similar experiences in the area.

Yeah I'm on the coast in BC as well, and I find 5G very unreliable so I too leave it on LTE. 5G can be great when I'm right by the tower, but signal penetration sucks, which makes for a very inconsistent experience that often results in better speed on LTE.

Thank you for the link. I thought maybe the service is slow across PM, but I guess not! It's just me!

5G is mostly marketing hogwash for enhanced LTE across most of Canada — unless you have the good fortune of being in the close proximity of a 3500 MHz transmitter
There are no 3500 MHz transmitters in my part of the BC coast so despite the 5G indicator on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, I just leave it on LTE and it everything works fine for me — messaging, email, browsing and even tethering

Something not right. Ask PM to help to re-provision the account
Just open ticket with PM using the Orange Chatbot icon on the lower right. (For 2FA when login, you might need to use email to receive if you cannot receive the text on the phone.) Type the question Submit ticket and select Contact Us to get to ticket open screen
Or message them using this link:

I have an Iphone 13 pro. I’ve tried restarting the network few months ago but still the same 🫤

What phone do you have?
Try Reboot phone first, then Reset Network Settings and it should improve the speed
