Hey,
So I have the $39/m 20GB, 4G plan - but on my phone where the service stuff shows (LTE, 4G, 5G, E, etc.) it says 5G sometimes. I am in the GTA area. I am paying for the 4G plan, but when it says 5G am I actually getting 5G speeds, or are they just throttling me behind the scenes - like I'm "receiving" 5G from the tower or whatever but my phone is only using 4G speeds.
Hope my question made sense. Cheers.

@o_its_alex Just as an FYI, if you're willing to pay upfront for 90 day plans, then PM is offering a new promotional plan for $44/15GB+15GB bonus (30GB)/30day discounted to $39/cycle if you opt for 90 day offer.

You will get 4G speeds but get all the benefits of being on the 5G network. Hope that helps.

I am assuming you have your cellular data on automatic and you are outside.
You can do a speed test to see if there is a difference between 4G/LTE and 5G.
5G is a high battery drainer so I would suggest you put it on4G/LTE.

@o_its_alex , all plans have access to the 5G network, even the lowly 3G speed plan. The speed throttling is based on the plan, so expect to see up to 100 mbit/s download speed on the 4G speed plans.
