1GB of promo data

I was just wondering if the extra GB of data was for 30 days or is it mine to keep?

Yes like all in Canada add-ons have no expiry.  Plan features get reset every 30 days.

It doesn't expire so it can last a few days or months/years depending on your data usage habits.  It will roll over until it's completely depleted in other words.
