$10 off promo

I'm currently on a plan with 1gb data (500mb with a bonus 500) and want to take advantage of the promo for $10 off for 8 months and upgrade to the 4.5gb plan. Can I do this by upgrading my plan through self serve? Would it automatically activate the promo, or are there additional steps?

@lizzielarabie  Unfortunately that promo is for new customers only. So the only way to do it would be close your current account and start as a new customer.

@lizzielarabie In order to get the promotion you would have to activate a new SIM  and account with a new email  address . It isn't open to current customers. Do the math  to see if it is beneficial to you. As @Dunkman points out you lose whatever rewardsetc that you currently have on your current account.

This new promotion is only for new customers or activations.  You would not qualify if you just changed plans unfortunately.  

If you really wanted this plan and wanted to keep your same number, you will need to port out to another mobile company and port back in as a new customer.  You will lose whatever balance or rewards that you have obtain so far.  Not worth it for most customers.....
