Hey Community,

 

As a thank you to our customers, we’re out to make this month a special one. We want to pay it forward this month by putting you, our customers, into the spotlight in our advertisements, as well as offer up the chance to win a year of Public Mobile service to our awesome Community - that’s not a typo, we’re serious about showing our love and appreciation! Just think of it like a Public Display of Affection - no pun intended 😉

 

How does this work?

From now until November 22nd, 2019, anyone who shares a positive post with #PublicMobilePDA on Twitter or Instagram (see post guidelines below), will have the opportunity to have their message put on display on the digital ad boards in Canada’s biggest cities!

CONTEST RULES

 

  1.       HOW TO ENTER & ELIGIBILITY

No Purchase Necessary.  To enter entrants must share something that they love to share and post on their phone on the Community post. Only one entry per person accepted.  No other form of participation is accepted. In the event of a dispute on the entrant identity, the person who is the holder of the email address specified on the online form will be deemed to be the entrant.

Contest runs November 1 to November 22, 2019 at 11:59pm ET.

 

If your entry contains a person, other than the entrant, by entering the contest, you state that you have obtained consent from everyone in the photo. If your photo contains a minor (under the age of 18) parental or legal guardian consent is required.

An Entry will be considered void and removed from the Community post if it contains subject matter that, in the opinion of the contest administrators, may violate community standards or is otherwise of questionable taste.

To be eligible, an entrant must be an existing Public Mobile customer and entry must be received on or before end of contest closing date and time. Entrants must be a Canadian resident who are 13 years of age or older and must be a member of the Public Mobile online Community. Contest not open to employees of TELUS Corporation, its affiliated companies or subsidiaries, its sales agents, its advertising and promotional agencies, and members with whom they are domiciled.  By accepting these Contest Rules, entrants agree that any and all liability related to this contest by TELUS is limited to the value of the Prize(s) as defined hereinafter.

 

  1.       THE PRIZE

There will be three (3) prizes awarded.  Each winner will receive the following prize:

  •   One (1) year of Public Mobile service on the $50/mo Ready-Made plan  - base rate plan only (approx value $600):

 

A voucher credit of up to $600.00 OR the 12-month value of the customer’s current rate plan (whichever is greater) will be applied to the winner’s account to cover service for a period of twelve (12) months. The Public Mobile service includes basic rate plan and winner will be responsible for the payment of any service add-ons, overages and taxes. Changes/upgrades made to a winner’s plan throughout the twelve month period will not affect the Prize credit.  Rewards will continue be applied on winner’s account according to publicmobile.ca/rewardrules.

 

  1.     THE DRAW

A random draw for all Prizes will take place at the Public Mobile office located at 25 York Street, Toronto, Ontario on or about November 23 at 12:00PM ET by a TELUS representative. Selected entrants will be notified on the Public Mobile Community. If the selected entrant cannot be reached within two (2) business days, or if the selected entrant does not meet any of the contest requirements, another entrant will be selected from the remaining eligible entries.

In order to win, the selected entrant must correctly answer unaided a mathematical skill-testing question and will be required to sign a standard release form.  If the selected entrant is under the age of majority in his/her province of residence, his/her parent or legal guardian must read and accept these Contest Rules.  Failure to answer the skill-testing question correctly, comply with the Contest Rules or sign and return the release form within two (2) days of receipt will result in disqualification and another entry will be selected until the Prize is awarded. Prize will be administered to the Public Mobile account linked to the email address provided in the winner’s release form.

 

  1.     PRIVACY

By entering the contest, entrants consent to the use of their names, city of residence, photograph, voice and/or image for publicity purposes in all media used by Public Mobile, without payment or compensation.  Entrants agree to TELUS’ use of the entrants’ personal information that may include contacting you regarding limited time offers, promotional offers and/or surveys. Full details are as described in Public Mobiles’ privacy policy located at publicmobile.ca/termsofservice.

 

  1.     QUEBEC RESIDENTS

Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a Prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.

 

  1.     OTHER

All entries become the property of Public Mobile. Public Mobile assumes no responsibility for lost, damaged or misdirected entries during the contest period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software and failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Public Mobile on account of technical problems, traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or failure of handset or mobile web browser. Public Mobile reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, cancel or suspend this contest without prior notice. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are mechanically reproduced, forged, falsified, altered, tampered with, not in accordance with Community standards or unlawful in any way. Entries submitted by unauthorized means will be disqualified. In the event that it has been determined that an entry has been made in a manner not sanctioned by these rules and/or an entrant has submitted more than the number of entries permitted by these rules, the entrant and all of his/her entries will be disqualified.  Entrants agree to abide by the contest rules and the decisions of the contest judges, which are final. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations.

I love Public Mobile because I can text as much as I want and receive FREE incoming calls. Not to mention the rewards that can literally lower your bills to $0-yes zero dollars/mo. I even created my own text emoji to celebrate! Go Public Mobile!!!Go Public Mobile!!!

I love Public so much that I made my boyfriend switch from a Dog-Branded Cell Phone company to one that doesn't harras you with new plans, bad service, and bankrupting monthly bills, roaming charges and fees. It's a do-it-yourself type of cell phone company... but gosh darn it, they give me perks and they let me pre-pay quarterly.  No more missed bill payments and No more Dog Cell Phone service!!

I transfered my whole family to PM a few days ago in an effort to save. PM had the perfect plan for all three of us.
And just for the ease alone of activating the SIM cards and porting all 3 numbers !! Within a few minutes I was done!!  And all 3 phones were working getting calls and texts...just for that and for the fact that I can't stand to call service anymore and wait and wait and then wait even more to finally speak to an agent that can barely understand me or I them !$&?!@$

 

I much much prefer SIMon 😘

PM is the BEST DEAL for RETIREES!

If you're computer savvy - signing up is a not a brain-buster.

With loyalty, referrals and not to forget about being active in the PM Community Posts whereby you receive accolades called Bravo(s),your monthly bill keeps dropping.

AND if you're not too savvy with computers...find someone who is - they can write down the steps you will have to follow to set-up/get into your account and onto the PM Community page.

YES,it's really that easy!

I like it when PM keeps their commitments and do not give you the run around when there is a problem.

A letter to the ombudsman of Rogers 

 

Dear Kim,

 

I am a former client of Rogers , unfortunately, even after trying to resolve my billing issue, I was passed around by many representatives until the bill was finally  sent to collections.  Impacting my credit and causing hardship both financially and mentally.  The creditors continue harass even past 2 years and impossible to come to a resolution.  As a result I refuse to pay what I feel is unfair.
 
I found a company run by Telus and it’s called Public mobile,  when there is an issue they work quickly to resolve it even though it is all online.  They play fair.

Ed it was from your post that I got the information.  Saying you must be an existing customer I  would say that means limited to that group

I could not find anything saying it is limited to existing customers. I just Googled "no purchase necessary" and found a website giving me the following details.

 

"In addition to indicating "no purchase necessary" in the rules themselves, contest sponsors should provide the method by which the entrant can enter without making a purchase, for example, by mailing in an entry form to the sponsor's address, often referred to as an alternate "snail mail entry." Many online contest sponsors continue to provide a snail mail entry alternative even when purchases are not required by the entrant."

 

Please tell me how to enter without purchase Public Mobile!

I would say yes you do.  It is limited to existing customers but you don't have to make any additional purchases to enter

Love love love Public Mobile! 

I joined Public Mobile 3 months ago and everything has worked perfectly without a single problem. I even transferred my old phone number over in under 2 minutes! The flexibility of account self serve options is great.
Amazingly helpful information on the Community Forum website, which answered in detail any questions I had wondered about....so happy I switched to PM. 😊 #PublicMobilePDA
