Trying to confirm if I have to turn on roaming or not to use my phone freely while in the US. Is roaming just for data? People in Canada can still call my phone number while I’m in the US and I can make calls back to Canada all for free?

Sounds like your port is incomplete. Did you answer “YES” to text message from Fido to authorize port? If you did, then it can take 2 hours or more to fully port your number.

If you replied "YES" to the text message from ROGERS, then it can take 2 hours or more to complete the port.

It looks like you did everything correctly. Complete porting can take up to 2 or more hours. Check your Bell account again after 2 hours and see if you line is gone from your Bell account.
