No you can't just do that because they have your number and they can do a Sim swap. Even a esim swap. They can do all these things. They don't need your permission or you going to another sim card. Technology moves rapidly
The company already had a similar thing with no SIM cards and then they brought SIM cards and now they're going to no SIM cards and they're just calling it. Another name technology goes back and forth all the time
