Ah yes - here we go, from a Shaw press release from March 24th: https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2020/03/24/2005802/0/en/ShawHelps-Shaw-Communications-Ann...
"Giving Freedom Mobile customers with a rate plan of 3GB of Freedom LTE data or less — including those who have no data allotment — an extra 2GB of extra data for free to ensure they have the data certainty they need."

None that I know of. But Freedom Mobile offered a 2GB free data add on to my 20.month plan and my daughter's 30/month. I guess everyone with a plan got this added feature due to the corona virus outbreak and stay-at-home or WFM situation.

@Jb456 I've been boycotting shaw for the past 14 years....but it rings a bell that they split the country with rogers back in the day so that makes sense. For once all those irritating sign in pop ups on my phone I can actually sign into......not! Just out of principle but it's good about 2/3 of the country can take advantage. Thanks for the info/reminder!

@mpcdesign impressive list. Thanks for compiling it.
@rcayouette64 , basically take advantage of these free WiFi spots amd other complimemtary ones available city wide in most places.
If you are in an rural area, without WiFi unless you and your neighbour are like the Hatfields and the McCoys, make a deal with them to use theirs if they have it. That's all I have, another PM user that's also rural, may have better ideas.
