Pay-Per-Minute or Addon for Talk

Hi Public Mobile,

There should be a Pay-Per-Minute rate or an Addon pack for talk.

At this moment with Public Mobile, it's either Unlimited Talk, or No Talk at all. A lot of people, including most younger individuals, only use their smartphones for texting and data, with calling being rarely done.

For me, I don't talk enough on mobile to justify getting Unlimited Talk for $20 a month. I still want to get Unlimited Texting and 1GB of Data for $35 a month, and some (non-expiring!) minutes in an addon or a pay-per-minute rate just in-case I need to voice call.

Every single carrier in this country only offers "Talk", "Talk & Text", and "Talk, Text, and Data", in a generation where people communicate by text, and not talk.

Offering us an option for "Minimal-to-Some Talk" instead of either "Unlimited Talk" or "No Talk. Period." in addition to the "Unlimited Texting & 1GB of Data for $35" package will allow a lot of people to justify switching to Public Mobile.

I'm thinking of going to Public Mobile once my contract with Bell expires at the end of August.   Since I'm a lite talker more options would be appreciated.   I like the idea of a 90-day plan with Unlimited Province-Wide Talk, Canada Texting and 1 GB of data all for $28/month with the autopay discount.   This is far cheaper than anything else I've seen at the low end of the spectrum.   Any plan out there in Manitoba with at at least 200 MB of data and 100 or more minutes of Province Wide or Canada Wide minutes is at least $40 or more per month.

@cslusarc Getting the best "bang for your buck" can take a bit of research. For example, you could take that plan without calling and add a VOIP app, such as that from fongo.com. Your calls would use wifi at home, and some of your data when you are away. It would mean two different phone numbers though, one for texting and one for calling. If you don't need picture messaging Fongo also has a texting plan so you'd just need 1 number.
