Future promo implementation

In the forums we always reccomend porting as a 2 step process 1 create account 2 port.

With the FM promo this was not an option. And we had several account creation errors with people out of service ans completed ports.

My suggestion is if there any future targeted promos similar to this one, to allow a 2 step process create account with the proper plan once user knows plan is cortect they port, say within 24-48 hours to be eligable for the promo bonus. Or longer if they had issues.

This would avoild many i have no phone service issues.

Hopefully however, future promos will open to all.

Agreed 100% with you, there created more works to themselves, Promo should be open wide to everyone, does any company complaint have earn too much money

I recall reading in the threads, there is.  If the porting is included as part of activation, there is supposed to be a more automated application of bonus data.  Doing the two step would require more human intervention.  As it were, the problems with activation is getting in the way of an otherwise good idea. 

Of course, the real solution is to fix the self serve portal.  As much as there was huge issues back in fall 2016, I activated all my accounts without issue and I helped a whole bunch of people activate without issue.  This time around, all the people I helped had failed ports.  Yeah, I know user error.
