We have a tablet that uses the 4G network to connect to the net. It uses a SIM card ....I forget what they are called but the SIM card is a standard one for phones, in size, its around a centimeter square.
If I sign up for Public Mobile on a 4G plan, will the SIM work in the tablet allowing access to the internet over the 4G network? We would not use it for phone usage, as its not a phone...
TIA

Make sure the tablet is unlocked. It may not work if it’s aligned with a certain provider

Yes it will work for data. Calling and texting will not work. These services will only work if you put a sim card in a compatible Samsung phone and sync it with your tablet.

Asking CS_Agent wasn't needed. Public Mobile doesn't block devices from using data.

the PM sim card will work on Galaxy A7 Lie. Basically as long as the tablet has compatible bands on PM network, the sim will work on it

In all honesty @BoogeyMan3 it's truly a hit and miss. Nobody really knows even though they try. I would try to find someone who has Public Mobile and borrow their SIM card and try it out. Or if you feel like wasting $20 to find out, you can do that too. And if it works, then you can get whatever plan you want with the data you want. Never say never. However if it does work, can you come back and share what tablet it is, make and model? We're always interested in what works.
