hello 

im currently out of country and was thinking of suspending this number for a couple months. would that be possible? if yes, how do i do that? if yes, will i still be able to use that number on whatsapp? thank you.

Yummy: When suspended for any reason  the 90 day counter starts 12:01am eastern on the day of the original renewal day. Then goes to 11:59pm eastern on the 90th day.

Day 1 of the 90 days begins on what was the customer's renewal date or had they renewed the plan Day 1 of their new 30 day cycle. So in your example that would be May 25th. The customer would have to pay and reactivate before Day 90. Which in your example would be before August 23rd.

Well, I picked up that info from others, more experienced customers based on their posts, so I am confused.

 

Lets say somebody's renewal day is May 25. Customer engages lost/stolen on May 15.

When 90 days counter starts after engaging lost/stolen

- Immediately? From May 15?

- At the end of billing cycle? Service is cut off but 90 days counter starts at May 25?

Here are your options for your pm service while you are away...

  1. You can turn off autopay and allow the account to suspend at the of your current 30 day cycle but this is your least advantageous option. Pay and reactivate by day 85 or so.
  2. If you have an account balance that exceeds your plan amount then you need to suspend via the lost/stolen feature in your account before midnight eastern on the evening of your renewal. Then on day 85 or so resume your service to pay and reactivate.
  3. Suspending via lost/stolen before midnight eastern will keep your voicemail active allowing you retrieve voicemail and any verification sent by phone calls. However your rewards will not be applied to your account. Moderator/CSA contact after paying and reactivating is necessary to have the rewards** applied manually. **Points program may or may not be affected by this glitch....yet to be confirmed.
  4. Voicemail can be accessed by calling your pm number from a different phone by calling your phone # and pressing * once connected and entering your 4 digit voicemail pin #.
  5. If you don't have an account balance or enough balance to cover your plan amount you can suspend via lost/stolen after midnight but before 2 am eastern on the day of your renewal. Once your rewards have been applied (usually by 12:15 am et) then suspend your account. Voicemail access will be lost.
  6. Switching to the $15 plan with rewards helping to cover a partial or full amount of your plan allows you to call forward your pm number to your voip (like fongo or textnow) number before you leave Canada.. Now any incoming calling to your pm number will ring thru to your voip number while on wifi or mobile data (w/a local or global sim card) You can access your voip # voicemail for all voicemail messages.

Most important mark on your calendar day 85 of your suspension and day 90. Do not forget when you must unsuspend your account via lost/stolen and/or pay and reactivate your service so you don't lose your phone number and account. Happy travels and Stay--Safe!

Be diligent in renewing before the 90 days, as people have said a week or so before to play it safe, because if you forget or can't do right at the deadline due to a glitch, no only will you use the account and number, you will lose your balance and all the rewards you accrued, and if you activated a new PM line you would be on the new points program.

HI @rhei   As advised by others, you can suspend the account by 90 days.  Since you already paid for this cycle, remove Autopay and let it expired at the end of the current cycle, then the 90 days counter start there

 

It is very important that you have the login credentials saved and have a credit card still on the system (even Autopay is disabled).  When you need to enable it back before 90 days, you can access My Account and pay without issue.  Some people got problem because they cannot login or not able to add credit card onto the system and missed the 90 day deadline.  Make sure you remember the date, and come back and activate couple days before the deadline

@rhei   You can log into your account and remove autopay/CC or use Plans/Add-on tab, then Lost/Stolen and Suspend Service if you have a balance that would equal your payment.  Then you have 90 days from the payment due date before your number/account would be deactivated due to lack of payment, so it's recommended to pay around day 85ish to reactivate your account.  Reminder if you Suspend Service, then you need to Resume Service once you make a payment to the suspended account.

 

Yes Whatsapp will work anywhere you have access to WIFI or data even without an active account.

You can suspend your account for a maximum of 90 days without losing your number. After 90 days, your number will be gone and your account will be permanently closed.

 

It is simple to suspended the account: make sure your account has no more funds in the Available Fund, disable Autopay and remove credit card. In this case, PM will not be able to get the funds and your account will go to suspended state at the end of that cycle. The 90 days count start from that day.

 

You can reactivate your account by putting in enough funds – full plan cost and click Reactivate you account anytime after but before the 90th day. However, I suggest you to activate no later than the 85th days, just in case.

 

You can also click Lost/Stolen button to suspend the account right away and the 90 days counter will also start immediately.
