The promo didnt add so I tried to submit ticket and created a community account.  Logged into commmunity account and chated to SIMON chat bot.  he said to submit ticket and when I tried it said to verify my account.  I tried that and it said username error so now I cant submit ticket.

You can use a referral code and a promo code at the same time. The issue you had adding the promo code was probably the missing "S" in the promo code you tried to enter. It should have been 12MONTHS2GB not 12MONTH2GB. The $10 bonus referral credit will be added within 72 hours of activation.

 

When a referral code or promo code is accepted and added successfully you will see a checked box icon appear and the referral code and/or promo code promotion will appear below the appropriate box.

@Krayd   So, you are all good in terms of verifying account?  

 

When you open ticket, usually it will first ask you for the Community account.  Then after you fill in all the info, it will ask you for Self-Serve My Account login/password or 4 digits PIN before you can submit the ticket.  It is a bit confusing

Yes, the username for community and self serve account are different.  I used the community one to verify account.

Yes, 12 MONTH 2GB promo and did register email first.  i did use refer a friend as well though.  Maybe you can't have promo and refer a friend??

@Krayd what promo code are you refering to?was it the 2gb for 12 months? did you register your email for the promo?

@Krayd   just to clarify, the username for My Account would be different from your name here.  Community and Self serve My Account are 2 different systems.

 

Community username for you is Krayd but the My Account username will be your email address used for activation.  Also  the password for the 2 systems could be different.

 

You can try to use Forgot Password link ( https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/forgot-password/ )on the My Account page to try to reset it by putting different email address.
