@jennifer1968 I see you've had a number of responses that tell you that you can check for yourself in your self-serve account.  If you go to the My Plan page, you can see the difference, as noted here:  https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Plans-Add-Ons/How-to-tell-data-plan-speed/m-p/173079/...

It is ok to burn some, so you can remember it how painful it is. Smiley Happy

If not enough, do a few more.  It is hard to forget the speedtest when using LTE speed.

Speed tests are pretty wasteful especially if you find out the hard way that the plan is full LTE speed.  A test can burn several hundred megs if the download speed is high.  This is quite the long discussion to address a relatively simple question that was answered in the first response.   Smiley Tongue

@jennifer1968, login to your selfserve if your data option doesn't say 3G you have full LTE speed

If you have 6GB over 90 days for $120 I beleive you will have the full LTE Speed as the fall promo doubled that data for the same price

That's what I was thinking too.  I know that the LTE data option pricing got higher at one point, but I was almost certain that there was an LTE plan in that price range that included those features.

The other possibility would be that @jennifer1968 could be on a 3g data speed plan (before the 500MB 30 day bonuses were introduced).

If this is the 90 days calling, texting, 6GB at 3g speeds plan for $120 , I would even go a step further and just go straght to the current 30 day calling, texting, and 4GB 3g data for $40.

@jennifer1968  If your current plan ends up being the slower speed data option, I would switch to the current promotional plan.  It would end up being the same price averaged over 30 days but you'd also get double the data that you are getting now.  If you go that route, you'll want to make sure to future-date the change so that you don't lose any money that you've already paid into the plan that you have already pay for.  That way, the change will happen when you use up your current 90 days.

Technically, if 6GB is listed as their 90 day data allotment in their profile, they would double their data when switching to the 4/40 promo. (I understand that you are comparing it to the other promo that adds 500MB/30days or 1.5GB/90days bonus data.)

However, once you switch to the 4/40 promo, it's 4GB per 30 days, which is not necessarily 2GB more per month, if you have a highly fluctuating data usage over a 90 day cycle.

All numbers in this post are for LTE light / 3G speed plans.

The speed of your plan would depend on when you signed up for and what was advertised at the time.  If you signed up to this plan after the 3Mbps speeds were introduced, then your plan would only have that lower speed as that it what is currently offered as a regular priced 90 day plan.

I don't remember exactly which plans were offered at $120 for 90 days in the past, but I strongly suspect that there might have been something along the lines of 90 days province-wide calls, text, 6GB LTE data for $120, but I could be mistaken.

You can log into your self-serve account and if you are on a plan that has the reduced 3Mbps 3g speeds, it should list your data type as that in  the add-ons section.
