I'm having a terrible time subscribing and I want to take advantage of a promo that ends tonight, December 2. I can't seem to get through the process. I want to purchase the promo today.

yes, you can use the Android to register
but if you rather hold the current offer and start the plan with PM later, you can actually use the web browser to activate, request to receive sim card. The activation will go to payment section, make the payment
after payment, it will ask you to wait for the sim card and use the app to complete. There is no time limit how long to wait, so, you can wait till closer to your Virgin cycle end date and use the app to complete, that is the date your actual PM cycle will start

I can't use the computer to register and subscribe. I have a Mac. I have an android phone and downloaded the app. I wanted to talk with someone or at least chat about purchasing and then waiting till later when my other plan with Virgin nears the end of the monthly cycle. I appreciate you getting back to me! I'm new at this.

@wmo Yes you need the app to activate , and you can do this when ever you want , you shouldn’t need to wait until your old providers is about to end , unless it’s pre paid then it’s makes sense to wait if it’s post paid you will get charged only the pro rated time you used until you port out . And I would leave it to the last day if it is pre paid just day or two before

you can still activate using the app, just choose physical sim and ask them to ship
but i would get the sim card in person from Telus or Koodo store, then you can activate with a sim card with you without worry about strike or delivery

When I chatted with one of the support persons last week, she told me not to activate till my current cell company is over toward the end of the month. I put in the computer that I would pick up a SIM card. I can't get past that on the registration. With this mail strike it's throwing a monkey wrench in things. So, do I have to have a SIM card in order to activate? I can't get to the part where I put in my payments etc.

@wmo with today being Cyber Monday the Public Mobile network must be very busy. Keep trying and hopefully you get through. Worse case, take a screenshot of what you are seeing just in case you are only able to get through after the deals are over. That way you can reach an agent and show them that you've been trying throughout the day

@wmo Are you using the app to activate ? You need app not website , if you already Lid you can ask support to help

what error you got? can you give us more details?
and have you use the app to subscribe? if not, please download the app and start subscription there. If already using the app, uninstall, reboot and reinstall. Then use another email address to create another account and try the subscription again
