I cannot send or receive sms message from iPhone sine yesterday Feb 6 2023 - got a perplex form CSA to simply turn off the iMessage on my iPhone - I tried but did not resolve the issue ... from nov 2023 upto yesterday I didn't have an issue -  I may need to switch providers - I spoke w apple customer services and they said it was a carrier issue .. can any one explain this to me cuz I don't get it/???

Check to see if you are on the latest iOS update then reboot your iPhone by powering off then back on.

@RobertNL   Have you checked that Send as SMS didn't somehow get turned off in your Messages settings?

You may want to try a reboot of phone.  Or network reset of phone (this will erase any saved Wifi passwords).  

Any issues with data?  iMessage does require data to be turned on.
