i cannot send text messages as it says sim card is locked and looking for 4 digit number which i dont know

HI @Stephmcg can you also not able to make phone calls or connect Mobile data?
if it is the SIM card lock PIN you are talking about , open ticket with CS agent for SIM card PUK:
at : https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot. Follow this to get to ticket open screen quicker:
start by typing : Unlock a phone
then Click "Sim card PUK"
next Click "Contact Us"
finally Click "Click her to submit a ticket"
you will then direct to another page to open ticket.
After ticket is submitted, make sure to check your Community Inbox(top right corner envelope icon) periodically for response from PM's CS Agent
If you have problems submitting a ticket, you can also send a private message to the CS Agent (but this can take longer):

you need to contact a customer service agent
