I was in the hospital with a broken hip'Did not use my computer or cellphone for 3 month.Today I find out that the reward system has changed and instead of 7 dollars  I was charged 16.95.

I am totally lost with the new system and very disappointed. The old reward system was great.I hardly ever use the phone ,its for emergencies in the car. I guess i have to look for a different provider. We have two  cellphones at the 15 dollar rate for that purpose only .30 dollars plus for that is to high.We still have a landline. easier to handle at our age. we are both over 90. What a bummer

This company is no longer competitive for basic reliable voice service. They have changed their business model to chase the lucrative data hungry app addicted generation.

I would suggest looking into the telus $100/year or freedom $99/year services.

hi @Jangle1928

sorry, rewards system changed

but you still get some rewards, you get 5% of your plan price and 10 bonus point every year, and if you have friend referrals, you will start get them.  So, you still get at least 1.5 points , which is $1.5 worth, every month.

No you don't. That is nothing more than mental gymnastics by anyone trying to make the "new" system sound good. No matter how you slice it you are paying the full amount every month until you "earn" enough points for a one time $15.00 reduction. There is no $x.xx amount off every month no matter which way you look at it.

Hi @Jangle1928

I agree. It's sad isn't it? If I may say, if you are using the phones for emergencies only, maybe this may not be the right plan for you. Telus has a plan that I think would be better and well, it would save you $80 a year... well, $160 a year for the both of you. Telus has a prepaid plan that's $100 a year for unlimited talk and text with no data. If you can and have the ability, you should consider looking into that. $160 in your pocket is better than nothing. This offer is for 2 years right now. $100 per year per person. Something to consider.
