Hi there,

I recently ported out from PM to Telus.

This was done in mid March 2022.

I have heard that with most cell phone providers they allow you to go back to your previous plan if it's within 90 days.  Something called 'buyer's remorse' or similar.

Is this true?  If so, how would one go about initiating this?

I was on a $10 plan with discounts for $2 auto pay, $2 loyalty rewards.

Thanks in advance,

Jeffrey

Stupid rate hike.

Sadly Darren Entwistle's quest for record profit knows no bounds. If you had only come here first before you ported out. You may still be able to file a complaint with the CCTS as porting out does not negate a complaint.

The $10 plan is a great plan. Even more so with buy once add-ons and full LTE data add-ons. The point is least cost outlay. For twice the outlay we can get unlimited calling and some data. Twice the outlay. No thanks. For a mere $60 extra we could get a larger bucket of data. Again. Least cost outlay. No thanks.

Sure, limited texts. Heard of TextNow? MMS? The $10 plan is a great plan. Yes it sucks that there's the rumour of them suggesting that they will raise the price. A horrific 30% raise. But still least cost outlay.

You had great plan. You could upgrade to $15 and keep all rewards. Little bit helping here and $1-$2 off easy.

Now everything lost 😞 😞

The $10 plan is only good for customers who have specific usage patterns.  Value for the money wise, I consider it to be terrible value.  Making it worse is the upcoming price increase.

Unfortunately the old rewards program is no longer in this case. Even people who inadvertently opted in weren't able to get it back, so you would have to activate a new account, you could port the number back but you would be on the new rewards program with no loyalty and no autopay. Instead you would get a 5 points welcome bonus and if you got the 15 plan 0.75 points per month.

HI @jeran   Some carrier has winback discount.  PM used to have it but no more.  And $10 is a grandfathered plan, and you were on a grandfathered reward system.  I don't think you will get them all back

You are now on Telus, basically has the same network backbond.  So, you are trying to come back because of the lower price here?

What was the reason to switch??? You had such nice plan, old rewards system, etc.

I really doubt you will get your 'account' with perks back. You will have to start from the scratch like never been PM customer before... 😞

Oh my. That's a conundrum. A month in with the big mothership and you're done? I think any buyers remorse is maybe a week. Like contract law or something. Certainly not 90 days. Not likely a month.

The $10 plan is gone. And rewards. I think that would be a big favour for them to get you back to here with what you had. I'm going to say good luck with that. You knowingly moved on of your own free will.

I don't think you will get back your rewards especially the loyalty.  You will need to purchase a new SIM and setup a new account. Unfortunately you will also be in the new points system. You have also lost the $10 plan as it is no longer available. The closest to that is the $15 plan
