Hello
New user. Trying to transfer Telus land line number to public mobile. The number is still active as i am still paying for it. The activation went smooth but still no service on cellphone. Unlocked Iphone7. Do I have to contact Telus directly to save this number?

@Drhoo - You should not need to contact Telus if porting over to public mobile (well, telus porting line perhaps an exception..).
Have you tried restarting the iphone 7 with the public mobile sim card inside? Any services after that?
Landline ports can take 3+ days. Expect a mix of services on the landline and Public Mobile SIM card until port is complete. But most services should be working after sim activation; incoming calls normally the last to complete.
To rule out phone issues...

@Drhoo OK, you might be dealing with 2 issues
1. No service on the phone. You should be at least able to make outgoing calls and see the phones connected to the network, just not receiving incoming calls. Try to reboot the phone again. if still does not work, it could be a sim provisioning issue, Just message PM support and it is a quick fix for them:
1. If you have access to My account: At https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot.
Start by typing "Submit a ticket", then click "Contact Us", Then click "Other", then click "Click here to submit a ticket ↗"
2. If you don't have access to My Account or have trouble with Chatbot: Private message CS Agent at:

**Monitor your Community inbox (envelope icon on the top right) after the ticket is opened. CS Agent will reply you there
2. transfer from landline take anywhere between 3 to 7 business days. So, if it has not bee that many days yet, please wait patiently. if you like, there is a support number you can call for porting status I will message you. Please check your Community inbox , envelope icon on top right
