I'm not convinced this is true. The few times I've had to ask mods fix something on an account I've also had to provide at least three or four pieces of personally-identifiable information - simple name and phone number are not at all adequate for user/account authentication. Unless you have a link which supports your statement?
It is certainly possible to find all sorts of personally-identifiable information about people online - name or phone number is often enough for search engines and social media to cough up all the other personally-identifiable information PM could need.
But this is not a problem caused by PM. Nor is it a problem they can easily correct. It is a problem caused by consumers who choose to remain ignorant of the conseqiences of maintaining bad digital hygiene habits.
@Korth I sent you a private message.

And Alan / Tiana still haven't fixed that issue they just deleted the thread. Pretty sure that should be top of their list to sort out.
A customer's phone number is not saved within the Community's private statistics, but we both know that members often mistakenly post their phone numbers, account numbers, names, e-mail address, credit card numbers, and passwords for all to see.
Yes but I was not referring to that. I was referring to the matter that if you know a friend or relative that is on Public Mobile there is away to access their account without a PIN and obtain information. It was brought to the attention of Alan & Tiana a few weeks ago on a thread. They never responded and just deleted the thread.
As of today issue has not been fixed and I believe it should be a priority for them to do so.
@computergeek541 I'll PM you..

Is there a reason to hide information from Public Mobile about how many bravos you've given and your e-mail address (that you've already given them). This site belongs to Public Mobile, so you can't just hide that information from them. Public Mobile/Telus does have a privacy policy in effect that prevents them from selling your information. Either way, Public Mobile only has information that you've provided them.

You can't hide any information you've ever submitted to Public Mobile, nor any information they've ever collected about you and your account. It's technically not even your information, it belongs to them, they obtained it legally, they store it on their servers. There's links to PM (Telus) Terms of Service and Privacy Policy documents at the bottom of this page, along with instructions on how to visit the CCTS and the Canadian Privacy Commissioner websites for more info.
But you can choose to display or hide some information from the PM Community in the profile settings for your PM Community account. And some information is always displayed or is never displayed in any event. You can always use a temporary "second" PM Community account to see what other members (along with search engines and the entire internet) can or cannot see when they attempt to view your permanent "real" PM Community account.

Ok. Many thanks to every one! It is clear to me now. I still have a lot to learn about posting on Public Mobile

@pcottt Those stats can only been seen by you when you are logged in.

@p-cott the good news is when anyone else does it they don't see that. Click on @Daps , @Staliger or mine. That's what the public sees.

Only you can see your own private statistics (when you are logged on your community account).
Try logging off and check your profile. This is what others will see.

To what statistics do you reffer to?
