I activated my phone today, I received a message saying that the ESN/MEID was incorrect and someone would contact me, I haven't heard from anyone yet. I can phone out but incoming calls go to voicemail. How do I fix this?

Don't look for anything called an ESN or MEID. There's a mistake in the text message that Pubic Mobile sends out about this as neither are those are used in Canada.  IMEI is what can be used for number porting purposes.

@ro71  - I wonder if anyone has received a call from someone at PM when this happens...we see these messages, but is there any follow through? Gesh, PM!

 

You either have to call that number softech sent you or submit a ticket with CSA.

Was it a new connection or a port in from other provider?

 

Did you restart the phone yet?

@ro71   From experience and feedback, very likely they won't contact you.

 

So, you requested porting your number from another provider?   There is a number you can call and talk to live support to update the information for porting request.  I will private message you the phone number.  Please check your Community inbox, envelope icon on the top right
