Only when you activate. After the first renewal, they behave the same as other rewards.

No, you can't. Rewards are only used towards the renewal of your plan.

You have to purchase add-ons from your "available balance".  If you just started, you may have balance available from your auto-pay rewards, but add-ons must be purchased from this amount.  If you don't have enough for an addon, you need to add funds.

The other referral credits and community rewards will only be deducted from your total owing for your 30/90 day plan.

To buy an add-on is typically a two step process of adding funds to your account and then purchasing the desired add-on.
