@elsa2020 are you attached to your number, if.not you could just abandon current account and save 80 by opening new one. Make sure to remove your cc info and turn off autopay.

Lucky mobile has the same promotion and their webpage says until February 20th. They can always cancel it though.

Unless more people sign up than the team can handle i expect pm to compete. You could try to aim at a later date to get the max out of your money, but there's no guarantee the deal will be here even tomorrow

Best luck

Lucky is till January 30th not February 20th.

@elsa2020  Yes @Jb456  is correct especially if you don't mind losing your number. If you get a free SIM at Wal-Mart you will save $50 or $90 - your current plan. You can refer yourself or use your original referrers code so they don't lose their monthly reward. You can activate the SIM and use as much of your plan features on your current account before switching SIM cards or if you have a dual sim phone or a back up phone you can put the SIM in that one. You may even want to pay a couple of dollars to renew the original account for one more cycle and use up the $14 in credits on the account and remove the credit card and autopay after it renews. It will then suspend after 60 days (after jan 17th) and be cancelled 90 days after that. You could also give the SIM away for someone else to use just have the account info and email changed to the recipient by a moderator.

@gblackma  I'm all for asking for a favour from the moderators but when the likelihood of them granting the request is nearly zero it's just a waste of the OP's and the moderators time. And takes time away from someone needing moderator help for having no services and needing them to fix it.

@gblackma  I like the way you think 🙂

Running numbers quickly in my head definitely you can save a $$s @elsa2020 for minimal effort.

You'll make more in savings then us posting on these forums for a community reward 😂😂

@elsa2020 Expanding on @Jb456 plan if you crunch the numbers and decide to follow his advice and abandon your Jan 17th account. Remove your autopay option and activate asap at a Walmart, the SIM is free. Also get a referral code from someone, $10. More for you. And don't forget to re add you autopay on the new account.

In this OPs casethey also posted on the lunar promo link that I posted above...

Page 14 I gave her the below suggestion and eight after my post @AE_Collector gave a similar response.

Unfortunately no. Sorry!. Jan 20th it started.

What plan did you select did you port a number in or got a new number? Maybe do the calculations and see if it's worth getting another sim and letting your Jan17th account run out so you can take advantage of the 8month discount...see if it makes sense money wise.

If you ported your number in..to keep it you'd have to get another sim for like lucky mobile, etc..port it out to them...get new sim for public mobile..sign up with new number to take advantage of 8 month promo discount...then port your number from lucky back to new Public Mobile account.

I suggest you do the calculations..

Yes. I think so. The promo.. um.. is valid only from 20 to 23

Why say till 23rd?? It's still ongoing on the website and no one knows when it will end..

But Chinese New year is 25th so maybe around then...or another competitor to PM has similar promo running to the 30th.....so who knows how long this promo will last for... Only PM does

I'll add to that. Public Mobile has said that when they decide to end this promotion, the annoucement thread will be updated in the morning and that the promotion will be good until the end of that day that the update is provided. So, that means that this promotion is going to last until at least past today. While Public Mobile might have a date in mind, they have not yet made any such information available.

@darlicious and @mimmo  I did tell@elsa2020  that she missed the promo. So you are saying you should never roll the dice and ask the moderators? The worst answer you can get is no.

@Jb456 I like the answer that you gave. That was impressive.

You may try to send the mod. They may offer the lunar new year promo but you have to think it is a 50% possibility.

@Joelkim More like 0.001%. Forget about it.

@elsa2020  Both @gblackma and @Alan80  are giving bad advice/poor information. Occasionally if you have started an activation before a promo ends but due to error messages etc....you are unable to complete an activation  before it expires appealing to a moderator they may grant the promo because an error has affected the activation time. At most by a couple of hours. They do not grant exceptions because you activated three days before. You can refer to my post in the announcement thread....page 9...post 6 for some advice.

@Alan80  You are just plain wrong. We encourage your participation. Please be sure you know the correct answer before posting. You are just learning. Instead post your experience, your opinion " I'm sorry you missed this promo!" or just bravo the post. Keep reading, learning and participating as you gain knowledge you will be able to advise more.

@gblackma  no need to suggest contacting mods.   this has been asked many times in the past  and  is not not possible.

Please only suggest mods when they can truly do something and if it is account related.

@Alan80 that is incorrect. Op does not qualify.. it started January 20th.

First post on thread below from Public Mobile says that.

I'm sorry but the promo started on the 20th. So, no. However,  you could try contacting a moderator and explain your situation . Click on the green questionmark in the white circle at the bottom right of your screen. This connects to the autobot Simon . Type moderator and follow the prompts to get to one. Good luck. Welcome to PM.

Edit, as per @mimmo . Do not contact a moderator that cannot  do anything in this situation for you.
