Hello Public Mobile, Due to lack of coverage in my new area, I'll need to leave Public Mobile and switch to Fido (sorry!). My phone is very old (2015?). and it is asking me for "SIM network unlock PIN"   I have my IMEI # and model #. Can you help me, please?

In this case, I'm assuming that it's asking for the SIM network unlock PIN after inserting the Fido SIM card.  In, this case, the phone is locked to Telus, and it's Public Mobile's customer support agents who would need to be contacted to get the unlock code for this device.  Please use the chatbot to open a ticket. https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/chatbot.html?botId=ZJkWuVb7Hp6EEcTIZKMZbvLwuDV&duid=2OhrPakuMpNZt4irir5...

You will need to contact original carrier which sold you the older phone.  The customer servie agent from that carrier should be able to provide unlock code for that phone.  It should be free service.

FYI, most Canadian carriers are phasing out 3G network (including Rogers and Fido), so you may have similar issues on those networks.
