I lost my old sim card and when I activated the new one,  I had to choose a new number

My old number was 778-xxx-xxxx and the new number is 236-xxx-xxxx

@Pugsandpoms123    (this is an open forum, for your own protection, you might want to update your post and remove the phone numbers)

did you already activate a new account?

You do not activate the new sim card, surpassingly you simply login to your Self-serve My Account for your old number and then you request Change SIM card.  Then enter the new sim card number and pick email to receive the security code

https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/Overview/plan-and-Add-ons/change-sim-card/https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/Overview/plan-and-Add-ons/change-sim-card/

Even you have activated a new number for your new sim card, if you want to keep your old number, it is not too late.  But you might need to buy another sim card to complete this process (But  you will loss money for the new activation)
