is msg service down right now?

why can I NOT  send a msg? 

it says not sent, tap it....

@chch518 - services with any provider, I would suggest the user troubleshoot all they can with their own device and location to rule things out. Any strange (sometimes unknown finicky) thing can happen with either the device itself, shifting of a SIM card in the SIM slot, networks/towers (lags, update, downage, etc), customer's accounts, etc.

for text issue, are you on Android or iOS?

if Android, try installing Google Message and set it as the default messaging app.  Google Message  much better text app than many stock messaging app.  It could resolve your issues

A support agent would likely walk you through the same steps. Perfect will never happen.

One of my phones had an odd problem with text last night. Said something about unable to send. Restarted and it worked fine after that. Odd though. Maybe airplane mode would have done the same thing. I should've tried that first.

HI @chch518  do you just have problem with text or not connected to the network at all?  the subject was asking for message, but you also say "  it says : mobile network  not available "

would be a lot different to troubleshoot

Did you check if your account status is active?  To avoid browser cache confusing,  please login My account using Incognito mode to confirm account status

If it shows On Hold (Suspended) , then it is a payment issue.  Click "Pay Now and Resume Services" to make a manual payment 

If it shows active,

  • first try to reboot the phone
  • If that does not work, change the Preferred network type or network mode to 3G only or WCDMA only and see if it works
  • Try to click Reset All Networks and see if it helps
  • and do you have another phone to test the PM sim ? just to make sure it is not a device problem.  Also, that can force a sim card re-provision and it could resolve the problem
  • Also, try the phone in another area if possible, it could be just a local network outage

@chch518  .also are you iPhone or android . If iPhone do you have data left on your account . As iMessage  needs internet to send . So in that case you can turn off iMessage and just send text sms instead

@chch518 - sounds network or disconnection in your phone related. Service fine near me, but I am not where you are. Does calling and data work?

Try

  • removing your SIM card, then gently inserting it
  • toggling into/out of airplane mode
  • manually select the 3G / WCDMA ONLY network in your Mobile Connections area in your settings (temporarily)

@chch518  Try rebooting the device . Or reset network settings . Is it possible for you  to try SIM card in another phone . And see if services are working . Also check
