I installed iOS 26 about 10 days ago. iMessages and FaceTime don't work. Call screen also does not work. I see a few posts here that it's a PM issue. I troubleshooted with Apple for 3 hours. Apple said both could be PM. I wrote early yesterday am, and have had no reply. I tried all the suggestions in the forum for iMessages/Facetime. Apple said me eSIM may need to be reset.
i am starting to regret switching to PM. The service is very poor. For 7 hours today, and was not even able to open a ticket. I got an "oops...service temporarily not available" type message. Not impressed.

Thanks - I finally found out how to get the free replacement eSIM and how to load it. That fixed my iMessages (and I assume FT) issues. I still find the delays unacceptable. The rates are great, but I worry if this were a more serious emergency! Or I think of someone like my mom who is not at all tech savy.

Thanks. I removed the old physical sim, but iMessages and FT still don't work off my phone number. I turned both off and restarted my phone too.

New support article at Apple that might be related https://support.apple.com/en-us/125367

Yes, I did all those steps....Thanks!

not sure if you did that
Switch iMessage/FaceTime OFF, then remove phone number form Settings> Phone> My number
Wait 5 minutes and reboot the phone
Go back to Settings> Phone> My number and enter the phone number.
Also, turn iMessages back ON again
Wait for the iMessage to reactivate

Forgot to say that I did log in and out of my Apple ID when I troubleshooter with Apple.

I can connect messages to my Apple ID email. I can't connect it to my cell number. Same issue on wifi and data. However, given that it's the phone number that is the issue, this suggests it could be PM.

Are you having problems on Wifi and Wireless? If it's on wifi too, probably not Public at all.
Have you tried logging out of Apple ID?

Thank you....I appreciate that!

If it does charge you, usually you can get credit for eSIM. It should be free since you already paid for it initially when you activated account.
P.S. I will try to escalate your issue with CSA_PM, who hopefully will private message you.

I don't see where I would repurchase an eSIM

I was not opening it from chat box. It was from the support page. The app is very glitchy. I am
logged into the app, yet it keeps on asking me to log in again to create a support ticket, and when I do log in, I got the error message for 7 hours today. Meanwhile, it's almost 30 hours since yesterday's ticket with no reply.

Yes, I reset the network with Apple and it did not work. I was nervous about reinstalling a sim without guidance. Apple said that my carrier should reset it. I'm a little bit nervous about following your instructions. If things go bad, it seems like PM is MIA!

Have you tried network reset of phone?
A couple of PM customers had to re-install the eSIM and it seem to work afterwards. You will need to login into your account via the app on your phone. Then repurchase the eSIM. It should be free and the new eSIM will re-install on your phone.
