how to upgrade from province wide to canada wide talk

how do I go about upgrading my existing plan (province-wide talk) to canada-wide talk now without getting double charged? My plan just got renewed a few days ago and I would like to make the change now because of the need to call to another province right now. I'm just afraid that I'd get double charged if I change my plan now.

@JiaL as noted, there are alternatives such as the add-on long distance minutes, or using a VoIP app like Hangouts Dialer (which can be configured to send your regular PM number as caller ID info, so when you call people this way, they know i'ts you).  That said, since you just renewed, if you really need the unlimited Canada-wide, you have two options that won't cause you to pay for another 90 days right now:  1) schedule a plan change for your next renewal, meaing you won't have the canada-wide until your next renewal date, or 2) reach out to the moderator team and ask if they can assist with the feature change.

@JiaL, I agree with @Taekgun, if this is a one time thing and if you don't use long distance that much then just add the long distance add on. 

You can just simply add the add on by yourself online.

You can use an app like hangout dialer to call US/CA free just make sure you verify your number first so that it shows up as your number to the caller. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.hangoutsdialer or you could just buy long distance minutes I believe it's $15 for 400 min and never expire.

@JiaL, if you don't typically don't make a lot of long-distance calls, I would just by the add-on.  It would be much more economical at $8 for 200 min rather than adding what's works out to be $5/month ongoing

@JiaL, PM plans are structured to have certain built in features. So that's why, you can't just simply changed a feature and keep the same plan. You can either buy a long distance ad on and keep your same plan or change your plan to the one that has a Canada wide long distance.
