Depending upon the apps the phone has, you can use it as an alarm clock, notepad, radio, timer, camera, calendar, etc.

Yes it's compatible on Telus's CDMA network but the network is set to be decommissioned soon

No. PM uses Telus's HSPA+4G Network, which is Sim Card. CDMA is ancient history
