Samsung GT-S7560M setting up voice mail doesn't work according to manual instructions

It says to tap -phone icon- on home screen and then "1" and follow prompts. However, nothing happens.

@playohone No worries, I've met a lot of people who didn't know about the 1 for voicemail speed dial.

Thanks very kindly for both responses. I feel a little silly, but yes, holding the "1" does bring me to the voice mail setup. I was "tapping" rather than " holding".

You don't tap it, like @Griff said you hold it down till the call connects

Are you holding the #1 or just pressing it once? If you hold 1 it should auto-dial into the voicemail centre
