emergency call only/ wont connect to network

I have this cell phone for just over a week old . It well register 3 bars when outside . But when inside a building 1 bar or nothing and say it not not connected to network and or emergency call only.

@fudd   If your phone is set to 5G try changing it to 4G/LTE and see if it is better, 5G is not as good at penetrating buildings.

Tha's not unusual -and nothing is wrong with your phone.- for example when I'm deep in a large store such as a Walmart or Canadian tire I get no reception but when I go to near  the stores entrance in front of windows all is well.

concrete / steel buildings can degrade the signal substantially. If you can test the cellphone in different parts of town. What city you in ? Maybe try your PM sim in a different phone to see if that helps.
