Hey Community!
New member here - when I checked prior to completing my purchase, the Public Mobile site said my current phone (Galaxy S20) is compatible with an eSIM, however when I go to activate my account it states my device and the eSIM are incompatible. Do I need to purchase a physical card? I am awaiting my support ticket being answered as well.
Thanks in advance!

@HSLP Yes something to do with the agreement with Public mobile / Telus when 5G first came out Samsung would have to provide a patch/update for it to work and as the phone is few years old now it’s unlikely to happen but the s23 will work and up

Really? It will not support the 5G on public?? Is there a reason for that?

@HSLP Not only that but the s20 is 5G capable phone , but be warned it will not be supported for 5G with public mobile . Instead you will be stuck having to use 4G/LTE

Yes, you have to purchase physical SIM. AND always use physical SIM to avoid all drawbacks of eSIM. ESIM is NOT transferable. Fails often, Issues with installing it, etc., etc.
WHY did you go for eSIM at all????
