changed the plan on the day of renewal and paid twice

Hi I changed my plan on June 30 and made a manual payment to my account. Then autopay took out the amount for my old plan on the same day. So I was double charged - $25 and $56. How can I get my payment back for my old plan? thanks, Dave

Officially there are no refunds for prepaid service but the moderators are very reasonable and if you explain that you made an honest mistake by not realizing your renewal had already occurred  they will likely give you a credit on your account for your plan amount.

 

In future you can schedule a change plan on next renewal to avoid mixing up when you can change your plan without penalizing yourself. You can also cancel a planned change at anytime up until your renewal....preferably not at the last minute but can be done if necessary. Your 30 day cycle renews at midnight eastern.

 @davidberg : That date up top is your new term date. If you had changed your plan _before_ that date ie. up to 11:59pm ET of the day before then you should have been fine. But if you arrived the next morning and went about changing your plan then it would seem you did an immediate plan change after your previous plan had already renewed. Or so it seems.

It's possible the moderators here could sort it all out for you. Seems to be a reasonable mistake to make.

Autopay renewed in the early morning and maybe you made the change afterward?    It is a confusion situation.  You might want to open a ticket with mod and see if they can do anything,.  But ut has been over 2 weeks, it is really up to their decision.
