change to a new plan

DH01

I've been with PM a long long time (probably more than 20 years) and with a plan $15 with illimited talk, no texto at the time. Today PM removed reward and I have to pay $24 (tax included). I felt betrayed and want to move to a new plan with texto + data, yet many mobile are for new customers only (sic). Tell me how to switch plan or do I have to switch carrier (Fizz is a good one)? Thank you.

Yes, I will convert points to $ asap. But still prefers the rewards though! Thanks hairBag1!

Yes, it was exactly this plan you described. I followed your guide and changed to new plan $20 with texto, 1GB data, illimited talk. Wonder how did I survive all those years without these ? Because I really don't need them until some inconveniences with texto encountered. I still want old plan back $14/month😡! Thanks BKNS27

@hairbag1  great reply, but I’m still curious as @DH01  said that “TODAY, PM removed reward” so I didn’t think it was in reference to the point conversion from a few years back

@DH01

Are you referring to the old Legacy Rewards where you get a $2/month credit for AutoPay, $1/month credit for each referral and $10 credit/annual? You should have gotten notice of the change.

PM switched to the Points Rewards for about 2 years or so ago. You should see points in your account and you can redeem 15 points (30 points etc) for a $15 ($30 credit) credit. I would suggest you redeem them ASAP as PM has increased the number of points now so you will get less credits.

Anyway, login to your account and go to the Subscription tab>Manage Subscription >Change Subscription and it will list all plans you are eligible for. The new plans is better than what you are on.

@DH01

it only seems like more than 20 years...Public Mobile has been around just since 2010.

Rewards was retired a couple of years ago and now we get Points. You can log in to your account / Rewards..to redeem them to buy things or pay for renewal.

All currently offered plans come with Unlimited Canada wide calling and at least some data, plus unlimited texting too. Using the app, just log in to your account / Manage Subscription (you'll see your current plan detail) then click Change Subscription to see what plans are available to you. If you see something you like, you can buy it now or on next renewal.

@DH01  I am surprised to hear that your plan was removed (or the rewards somehow) and they moved you to a much higher one with no warning? Something doesn’t sound right about that. I’m on a $15 and nothing like that has happened to me. Do you have screenshots of what you’re seeing?
