Check you phone settings to determine whether you have enabled LTE(4G) only.
I setup my phone to use 3G and 4G auto switching by my phone.
Which phone are you using?
I can let you know how to access your network settings.

I am assuming that you can send and receive text message. Please confirm.
If I am correct, your number porting to PM is completed.
Which phone are you using?
PM uses 3G signal for voice calls. You phone must support 3G. Otherwise, you cannot make or receive calls.

@trudy867 Are you porting in a number from your previous carrier? Keep the SIM from the other carrier in your phone so that you can authorize the transfer text that you will receive. Once the porting is complete and you no longer have service with your previous provider, then you can insert PM's SIM into your phone and reboot.
Porting can take 2 or 3 hours and incoming calls are the last part of the porting process to complete.

did you just activate not long ago? Any porting request?
A normal activation should be quick but it can take a bit of time sometimes, but still should be within an hour
If you are requesting porting number, it usually take 2-4 hours and you have to reply YES to a text from your previous provider allowing the transfer out of the number
In any case, try reboot your phone every 5 to 15 mins
(also, if you are porting from Rogers/Fido, it might delay a bit, there is system issue with Rogers today)
