I bought 500 add-on minutes for $5.00 on June 20th
Problem #1...My credit card was charged $11.50
Problem # 2...My account shows a top up of $5.00 instead of an add-on of $5.00
Problem # 3...I ran out of minutes yesterday while on a trip. Very inconvenient
What is the quickest way to get to use my phone again, short of switching carriers?

Show us us a screen shot of your recent transactions that shows your top up and the purchase of the add on.
My guess is you topped up by $10.
Keep in mind after you top up you then have to buy the $5 500 minute add on.
Dont worry as you will pay less next payment as payments will deduct from balance first then auto pay will pay the rest that is owed.

If you don't have balance in your account, if you want to purchase add on, you need to load the money to your acct first. And then purchase add on. if your credit card charged $11.5, did you see your acct balance shows 11.5$, if yes, you just go ahead to purchase add on.
