Windsor area service not stable

Lately I have experienced poor signal and at times no service in my area here in Windsor, is there anything that can be done to improve the service? I was previously with Zoomer and never experienced bottlenecks like this.

Slightly better connection signal but thr Windsor city area in general seems to have a lot of dead or weak spots, hope this will be eventually  be improved soon.

Thanks

@John2348

depending on your exact location, you could be in an area with only fringe signal. For example...if you were out E C Rowe towards Ojibway, you might have good Rogers signal, but less than great Bell / Telus. As you travel around the city, do you notice a more stable cell signal ?

Galaxy S22 plus , is a 5g phone , settings are on auto

5g, 4g , lte….

HI @John2348

what phone do you have? that could be the issue

Zoomer uses Rogers network

PM uses Bell/Telus network

The different networks have different band requirements for your phone, some overseas phones work better on Rogers, some works better with Bell/Telus networks

Outdoors only when on mobile data , have been using same phone with Zoomer before switching to Public Mobile , with no issues on connection service.

HI @John2348

what phone do you have?

do you have network issue with voice? or data?

are you connecting with 5G? or 4G?  Try to change your network mode and test the different settings.  Test the Automatic, the 4G (or LTE) and even the 3G  and let us know  if it makes any difference

@John2348  - Zoomer uses Rogers cell towers, so could be a Rogers Tower nearby but not a Bell / Telus tower?

For cell tower information near your location in Windsor, or anywhere in Canada, check this free tool out! https://www.ertyu.org/steven_nikkel/cancellsites.html?

For Rogers (Zoomer Wireless), refer to the Red Towers. For Public Mobile (Telus), refer to the Green or Blue towers. Bell and Telus share towers together, so you are most likely on a Bell tower with Public Mobile, even though Public Mobile is owned by Telus! The white towers are Regional Providers Towers, like Ice Wireless, Freedom Mobile, SaskTel, and Eastlink.

If you find out that there is no Blue / Green tower nearby your home, ask an agent about it, the link is provided by @Handy1  and @HALIMACS.

@John2348

Did this generally happen indoors or outdoors?

If you're noticing a difference between this provider and others, definitely let the customer support agents know and perhaps they can reprovision the account and it might make a difference.
