There's three 15-day US Roaming add-ons: Talk/Text/Data, Talk/Text, and Data only.

I would expect two-way texting to work properly with both of the add-ons which nominally include it.

Without the 15 Day US Roaming add-on you MIGHT be able to receive texts while in US, but you won't be able to send texts.

Other than that, your PM services won't work anywhere else, other than Canada or USA (with that add-on).

You need a local sim and a plan.

No. You will have full service in Canada only, limited service in US (with purchase of appropriate US add-on) and None of service anywhere else.

If you need phone/SMS anywhere get free voip app.
