Will Add-On be automatically renewed every month? "Add-On: US Roaming - Talk Text (15-day) $15.00"

Hi,

If I get the "Add-on: US Roaming - Talk Text (15-day) $15.00" today, does it start today? Also, will the add-on be automatically renewed? I just need it the one time for a trip to the US. I am currently on a monthy plan: $29/mo 30GB on 4G. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Not only do they not renew, if you wanted to purchase it back to back you'd need @CS_Agent to do it for you because there is a 24 hour waiting period before you can re-buy the same add-on (system glitch).

The US Roaming add-ons are single-purchase single-use. They don't renew, even if you have enough funds to buy them already deposited into your account balance.

Travellers to the USA must renew these add-ons manually by logging into Self-Serve or by calling 611.

If the 15-day (previously 10-day) increments aren't enough then it may actually cost you less to change your plan to one of the Canada+USA offerings for a full 30-day (or 90-day) cycle, even if you "waste" money by choosing the option which changes the plan immediately instead of changing it at next renewal. Beware that you cannot switch back to a plan which is no longer being offered so if you have any kind of promo or special deal or legacy plan which isn't available to select any more then you will lose it by switching away from it (although you can change plans all you like without losing any add-ons and any rewards/points attached to your account).

@ArthurShimizu  add-ons are not automatically renewed. You have to purchase when you need it. The add on takes effect immediately after purchasing.  The US add-on expires 15 days from date of purchase. 

When you are there, .make sure if you can , put your phone to 4G/LTE and connect to T-Mobile or AT&T.   Enable data.

If calls still don't work, put your phone to 2G and connect to T-Mobile. From the settings menu, turn on data roaming.
