Has anybody experienced bad wifi connection when switing to public mobile? I have never had an issue on my phone when at home until I switched to public mobile. Not happy.

@NathanPardy  - Not me, it could be your DNS Settings on wifi (Change to 1.1.1.1 OR 8.8.8.8) I get 500 on TELUS Fiber before and still the same. Maybe ISP device going down?
I get 250mbps with Public Mobile

If you are talking about phone speeds, here are max speeds that I seen

  • 3G Plan (3mbps)
  • 4G Plan (100mbps)
  • 5G Plan (250mbps, if Canada Wide only plan, 512kbps Unlimited after full speed use goes in effect)
  • 3G tech (10mbps)
  • 4G LTE Tech (20-250mbps)
  • 5G (NR) Tech (40-250mbps)

Roaming Speeds:

  • USA 2G (Decommissioned in Most Places by T-Mobile - Dial Up Speeds)
  • USA 4G LTE (1 - 250mbps)
  • USA 5G NR (1 - 250mbps)
  • Mexico 3G (512kbps - 10mbps)
  • Mexico LTE (1mbps - 100mbps)
  • Mexico 5G (1mbps - 150mbps)

hi @NathanPardy

if you really meant home Wi-Fi and not mobile data then it has nothing to do with Public Mobile.

you can try to disable your mobile data on your phone and try Wi-Fi again

@NathanPardy

Are you connected to home wifi or are you referring to the data connection?

Try resetting the Network setting on your phone.

@NathanPardy

No. The two should not be related.

Try resetting your network connection (click circle with wrench icon) or rebooting your phone and your wifi router.
