Why is this account still open and linked to my old canceled phone? How do I make sure this account is deleted? I had unsubscribed from last year.

There are probably holes in the PM security and app software.
I transferred an old account/plan to a new user. They changed everything, esim, name, address, new telephone, email, password, credit card, etc. I was no longer being charged for the plan (which was the important thing for me). However, for months, I could still go into the app and see the old account with the new user's new account information. Presumably, I could have changed the account details in the new account. Eventually, after logging out and rebooting the phone several times, I could no longer log into the new account. However, when I phoned the new number, I still got my old outgoing voice mail message. My voicemail pin still worked, so I deleted my voicemail message and disabled the voicemail. I left it for the new user to set up their voice mail.

Interesting.... potential glitch in the system.
As long as you were charged, then you should be okay. But, I personally would contact customer service agent to permanently close the account. Click on the chat icon on the right corner of website and follow prompts to submit a ticket.

Last payment was around June last year, thats when I unsubscribed so its been over 6 months. Someone is using my old number now so I thought to check on this account and I could still login and that phone was still listed in the profile although I have no plan subscribed.

And if the account is still open today, make sure you go in and Unscrbibe under the Manage Subscription tab.
To remove the cc from file, you have to ask an agent to do that for you using the chatbot.

When did you last pay your account? Check your credit card to make sure that you were charged.
It actually should be about 120 days after the last payment when the account will be permanently closed and number lost. It takes 30 days for the account to be suspended and then additional 90 days of suspension for account to be closed.

I guess you were not charged, correct?
Did you have any funds on account and 'accidentally' charged not touching your credit card?
Legend goes after 90+ days of NO PAY your account is deleted. Were there Really 90 days of no pay?
