I have heard rumors that Telus is starting to favor PM over Koodo. Any chance we might see wifi calling make it's way here?

I just saw PM respond to this inquiry on FB on one of their ads. Confirmation there's no pipeline for it at this time.

Thanks for all chiming in. I'll be heading out of the countryside pretty soon. Won't be as relevent then. Currently it's a bit annoying I must say.

@dust2dust Yes, we've been on this merry go round before. I understand your perspective on that, and maybe eventually we'll get to that point. For now I think we can all acknowledge that the US is a much larger market with much more competition in this industry.

I don't buy the tier 3 or premium service idea. I have a US service that has volte and vowifi and the plan I chose costs an average of $2.50US per 30 days. VoWiFi is basically a voip concept (but not over cell data) but it uses your proper phone number and adds a little icon to the dialer.
I might even give the US TextNow sim service a go when I'm there next time.

No word of wifi calling coming anytime soon. It is definitely a more premium service, though PM does appear to be going through a bit of a brand shift, so who knows. I agree that PM seems to be getting more love than Koodo these days.

You know as much as we do since we are all PM customers here, no management with inside knowledge.

It might make its way here eventually but I don’t think anybody here in the community knows of a timeline of that happening.

@Friendly_joe No word of it coming here anytime soon if ever . But for Telus favouring PM over Koodo I believed that when PM first put out 5G plans , and now Koodo has 5G plans and wifi calling so it’s a tie for me but I still like PM over Koodo all day long
