One workaround is to open up a free TextNow account/telephone number and to call forward your PM cell number conditionally to TextNow.
When someone calls your PM number, your PM number will ring first. You have the option to answer the call using your cellular network. On the other hand, if you are in an area with a a terrible cellular signal and you are hooked up to Wi-Fi, the phone call will then call forward to your TextNow number after a certain number of rings. You can then accept the call using Wi-Fi calling in TextNow.
The same is true if you want to make a call. If you have a good cellular signal, you can just phone out from your PM number. On the other hand, if you have a poor cellular signal but are hooked up to good Wi-Fi, you can just use TextNow to make your Wi-Fi call. Good luck.

HI @Wilson24
i won't expect Wifi Calling coming here anytime
it's a nice to have, but if you do not have problem with voice calls at some usual place you need to go, you actually don't need Wifi calling

According to PM staff, unfortunately, , no immediate plans to introduce Wifi calling for PM customers in the near future.

@Wilson24 Sorry PM doesn’t have wifi if calling you would need Koodo / Telus for that feature
