Cell phone does not connect to WiFi  - have Telus internet service Pure Fibre Internet 250 with unlimited data, have an unobstructed router and am sitting right next to the router.

Also cell phone will not send or receive text messages if data is turned off  - same circumstances as above - sitting right next to the router.

hi @Grumpylady-1st

if no device/phone can connect to your home wifi, it is a problem with the Telus router

if only your phone has the problem, it is a problem with your phone setup

Are you saying this is a Telus problem.  A Telus tech was here last week subsequent to upgrading Telus services and everything checked out fine when he was here.  As soon as he left the same problems were back.  Please send me a link with instructions on resetting Network Settings and rejoining the home WiFi again.

hi @Grumpylady-1st

no, all i meant is it has nothing to do with the PM account

Are you saying there is a problem with the setup of my PM account?  I have rebooted my phone and reset network settings - not sure what you mean by re-joining my home wifi again.

Sorry, that has nothing to do with PM service.

You will have to debug issue by yourself.
Check you network ID and password.
To eliminate collusion with PM SIM, remove SIM and try to connect to WiFi.

@Grumpylady-1st

Your wifi issue should not be related to PM's service.

Check to see if your phone is logged into your wifi network. Try rebooting your phone and the wifi router. Good luck.

HI @Grumpylady-1st

this is not an issue related with PM at all.

you are not receiving text message if data is turned off because you are not really using SMS Text, you are using iMessage or RCS, and your Wifi is not working

What you need to do, reboot your phone, Reset Network Settings, and re-join your home Wifi again
