Why was account information access blocked this morning?

Word-Nerd

Early this morning before posting a question, my account information seemed to be blocked or could not be accessed for some reason. No reason for it was provided.

This is my first month of service with this account and it was paid in advance, so the account is not suspended.

Each part (of the account) was displayed in a faded grey rectangle and there was a circle which was spinning in the centre of each one. Clicking on the circle in the centre of each rectangle or one of the rectangles did not stop the circle from spinning or allow access to the information.

Whatever was causing this did not interfere with being able to access the Community message boards or the ability to post a message.

What happened and why? If this occurs again, what can be done (to access the account information)?

Thank you in advance for any answers anybody can provide, in case this occurs again. You help is appreciated.

Thank you hTideGnow for your reply.  There was no message about the system being down or inaccessible due to maintenance when I tried to access my account then.  The circles just keep on spinning, for at least two or more minutes, at which point I just logged out and returned later (at which point it worked).

Is because of cache issues that or even sometimes using a different t browser and it even a different device

hi @Word-Nerd did you get the site under maintenance message when you login last time?

Thank you for your help, Handy1.  Incognito or Private Mode is what I use every time, so that was not the cause of the problem.  The next time, I tried it, the account worked fine, so that was positive.  Just wanted to know in case it happens again in the future.

Thank you for your help, HALIMACS.  Unfortunately, waiting some more did not fix the issue.  This occurred early in the morning so perhaps during that time systems are down for regular maintenance.  The next time, I tried it, the account worked fine, so that was positive.  Just wanted to know in case it happens again in the future.

You need to be patient.

Logging on to the self-serve site may take anywhere from 5 to 25 seconds depending on the device and browser you are using.

I, too, see those little circles and each section of the self-serve page going through some interesting startup graphics when logging in.

The page load will eventually complete.

@Word-Nerd

When logging into your account, it's always better to login to your account using a browser in incognito or private mode.  Then refresh your overview page using the little circular refresh wheel.

You'll have better success trying to do what you need to do in your account and you'll see the most updated information.

@Word-Nerd   what time you were trying to access the account ?  Please note that My Account often  unavailable during the late night hours.  So, don't wait to pay last day or last couple hours if you are manually loading fund to pay

Also, always try to use Incognito mode to avoid confusion as My Account has some cache issue.
