@Cait90 If your phone is 5G capable you will see 5G on the top of the screen when in range of a 5G antenna. If it isn't in range (check your area) it will connect to the next best network which is LTE. If your phone is not 5G capable you can still use a 5G plan for all the data but it will of course read LTE. 3G is going the way of the dinasaur at some point in the future.

So you have 5G plan @Cait90 .couple things to remember is that even with 5G plan you need to have 5G capable phone not only that it has to be supported on public mobile white list for 5G for example Samsung galaxy S30 is 5G capable phone , but is not support for z5G on public mobile . Lay thing to ensure is that you have set phone to 5G or automatic in phone settings and that you are in 5G area
