When does the US data roaming addon get applied?

Hi All, How long after purchase does a US roaming data add-on get applied?  I received the email after redeeming points for it, and it says, "Your add-on will be applied within 24 hours of redemption". Does this means its not applied right away?

I see that I'm connected to TMobile, one of PM's partners for data roaming, but not sure if I'm using ny add-on yet or not.  

Also, What happens when the data add on runs out?  Does it switch to regular roaming data with the high fees?

Thanks, I have no way of knowing if it's rally active or not, just an email saying within 24hrs, so idk. I hope its active 🫰

@Kovacsa - I did redeem a US Bundle Add-on for 25 points and it activated within 1 - 2 hours.

hi @Kovacsa usually if is immediate.  But if you redeem point for roaming add-on, the official words is within 48 hours but again, usually it is within an hour 

But you have roaming plan ? you have the Canada US or Canada US Mexico plan? if you have those, you shouldn't buy roaming add-on.  Why you even waste points to redeem roaming add-ons?

When you use all the data it simply stops working. No extra fees will ever be charged at Public Mobile, it's a prepaid service.

As to your first question, I've never purchased an add-on with points, but I have with cash and it was always available instantly. I'm surprised to hear that purchasing with points wouldn't be the same.

Side note, but can I ask what plan you're on? I ask because a lot of plans include US roaming for free, so it might be worth switching to one of those, depending on what your current plan is and what you need out of it.
