What happens when I upgrade from 3g to 4g

I have just upgraded my plan from 3g to 4g.   What happens? Do I get a new sim?

You were always on the LTE network just throttled to what is labelled as 3G speeds or 3mbps.

Within a couple days you will be on what's labelled the 4G speed (still on LTE network) and throttled to 100mbps. Enjoy

You just request plan change.  After the plan is upgraded, wait 48 hours and you should see the new speed there

Same sim card , same phone, you don't need to do anything to get the new speed.  Maybe one thing, make sure your network type is either Automatic or 4G or LTE

@Jasonpenny   Faster data speed (and more cheaper data if selecting $40/15GB or $45/20GB), however, the change in speed will take about 48 hours to become effective.

Nope, @Jasonpenny , the SIM card doesn't change - Public Mobile just upgrades the service on their end.

You just get faster mobile data than you did on 3g.
