Couldn't PM grandfathered the existing rewards and move to the new rewards system?
- Give you two extra points (replacement for auto pay)
- Give you x amount of points (replacement of your x amount of years), If you were at 3years, you get 3 points and that's it, you won't get 4pts the year after. Whatever you have as of May 1st, 2024. That's what get grandfathered!
I don't mind apply the points manually if I could still keep them. I can see they want one system instead of two. Much easier for them to manage but they don't have pull the rug under their loyal customers in the process.
HP printer tried something similar a few years back and revert their decision. If they can do it, I am sure and hope PM can do something similar. HP had a plan that let you have free printing for life, if you keep it 10pages/month or less. They tried to remove the plan but so many complained and they just grandfathered those people who had it and got rid of it moving forward.

I must say I do feel unappreciated if not punished for being a long time PM customer. Had my monthly bill increased with no change in my plan a while back. That hurt. New deal plans denied to older customers. Not good. Previous reward system for customers before 2022 discarded. That's going hurt more. What differentiated PM from the other flanker brands USED to be the various ways to get automatic cash off your bill every month. Now they force me to play their new points game patty-cake just to get a fraction back of what I once received. PM is not the brand they once presented themselves as anymore. Grandfathering older accounts in makes sense to the customer. PM does not value those customers.

Probability is ZERO.
PM is in a business of making money and not charity so business model is to make as much as possible with the least expenses.
I bet they count people will be lazy to redeem 15 points when they accumulate them this another little saving for them.
I would LOVE to receive 1 point for each month I was with PM instead of useless 'bonus' data I might not and will not use.

PM has said that all customers, old and new will be on the Points program after May..so doesn't sound like they will follow your idea....but good thought !

@TheSeekerz They absolutely could but don’t want to . Makes them more $ to switch you to the new points rewards . And this is there main goal to make money
